A crib from Aunt Annie to Jack

This came from Ada's archive, so Jack must be her son and Aunt Annie her sister Annie Precious. Comparing the writing on the back with my earlier post of the 1925 picture of Annie and her daughters shows that Annie (identifying herself only as "mother") had written the names and ages on the back.

Somebody's front room

"This is a photo of our front room here. Evelyn's portraits as a baby on bookshelf. I thought I sent you one of these ages ago."

This photo was in Ada's collection. Is this the same Evelyn we see in the 1925 photo? Perhaps the writing is by Ada's sister Annie, or Annie's daughter Dorothy, who I think was mother to Evelyn.

Connie & Jack's wedding

At first, I could only recognise Velda, the younger bridesmaid, in this group. But a Google search for various members of my family tree led me to this item about Constance (Connie) Precious http://www.kettlenet.co.uk/kettle/tree/037.htm
I compared notes with Anna Kettle and can now identify the bride as Constance and the groom as Jack Kettle. The best man on the left is Jack's brother-in-law William Woods. The older bridesmaid could be another of Connie's nieces - perhaps Joyce or Evelyn Smith or Kathleen Hunt, but I cannot be sure. And I think it is highly likely that the older man in the right of the picture is Connie's father George Precious.

Annie Precious (nee McCann) and her daughters

Based on known dates of birth and the ages given here, I presume this photo was taken in 1925.
Dorothy is now married to Gordon Smith. Joyce and Evelyn are her daughters. Lavinia is married to Robert Hunt and Kathleen is her daughter.
Florence later married William Saunders, Constance married Jack Kettle, Mildred married Edward Ball and Eileen married Albert Huckle then Robert Smith
